Nancy Thulin Guy, formerly of Boggstown, passed away June 24th in Sun City, Arizona at the age of 93. The Oak Park, Illinois native moved to Boggstown from Indianapolis with her late husband Earl in 1971 and relocated to Arizona to be nearer to their children in 1996. Earl proceeded her in death in 2005 and Nancy lived independently with her dogs in Sun City since. She is survived by her son Earl John Guy III (his wife Katrina) and daughter Sarah Newport (her husband Rod)-both of Arizona-and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dog, Emma, who will now relocate to daughter Sarah’s house in Sun City. The owner of an antique store on Sand Creek Road in Boggstown, Nancy was an avid traveller, reader and patron of the arts. She had visited Canada, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, England and had even taken a train to El Paso, Texas from Arizona just to eat dinner at a Luby’s Cafeteria. She owned many great first editions including works by Harper Lee and William Styron. We ask that in lieu of flowers friends make donations to the Shelbyville Public Library, Genealogy Department.
