Morris Giles France, Jr., 78, of Phoenix, Arizona joined the angels in Heaven when he passed away in Cooperstown, N.Y. on July 10, 2011. Morris was born August 6, 1932 in Worcester, New York, the son of Morris Sr. and Elizabeth France. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-55. His family moved to Glendale , Arizona in 1961 and he was employed by Goodyear Aerospace/Lockheed Martin for many years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanne, and five wonderful children – Morris III (Deanna), Mark (Pam), Brian (Marihelen), Sheryl France-Wilemon (Jay) and Christopher (Christie). Morris was a loving Grandpa to Amity, Zach, Austin, Joshua, Kayla, Felicity, Tatum and Brody and Great-Grandpa to Isis, Zach Jr. and Alexandria. His sister, Shirley Fancher, one brother-in-law, three sisters-in law and many nieces and nephews are among the loved ones he left behind. His life was also blessed with many special friendships. Morris’s life always centered around faith, family and friends. He never wavered in his devotion to these values. His life has been full of special times with family and friends - neighbors, co-workers, fellow bowlers and church/St. Vincent de Paul members. He was always there with a smile, a twinkle in his eye and ready for a new adventure. A sharing/farewell gathering is planned for July 25th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 13720 W. Thomas Road, Avondale, AZ 85392 followed by a Rosary. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on July 26, 2011 with reception following at the church.
