Mildred Emma Selinsky entered this world on Christmas Day 1927 and set off a series of events which would change the world. After WWII Millie met and married Joseph Selinsky on October 23 1948 in Syracuse New York. One year and one day later Mom had their first son Fred. James and Michael soon followed. September 1955 they bought a 35foot trailer and the little family moved to Arizona. They were likening to pioneers and there were many challenges. Mom was a housewife with three energic boys on her hands in a new land. In 1958 they bought a new house and moved out of their trailer into the house in Sunnyslope, just north of Phoenix. Soon after Mark came along A mother and housewife with four boys is a hand full She not only raised gentlemen but men with values Once the boys were school age Mom herself went back to school to begin her career in nursing. Millie went on to complete all her college and requirement and became a reregistered nurse and had a admirable career in helping and caring for the people of Arizona and her family. After Dads retirement 1n 1980 they moved to Pinetop -Lakeside to the beautiful pine near Show low Az. And mom worked in NavApache Hospital there . In 1993 Millie retired and they moved to Sun City Arizona, They both emersed themselves in retirement and travel , took cruises and also took up new hobbies. For mom it was sewing for fun and making and designing her own cloths, also quilting. Many of her sewing and quilts were showcased for their style and artwork. She stilled stayed connected to her nursing career, by belonging to the nursing association. When my father died mom continued to sew and help all those around her. But there come a time when you yourself need help. Millie decided to sell her house and move into Woodmark assisted living, when she had help if needed and plenty of companionship. She never stopped being the nurse and mother, loving and caring for those around her.
