Mildred Seanor Grumbling

passed away January 18, 2013, at the age of 102 in Sun City, AZ. She was born October 21, 1910 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania to Beryl L. and Ethyl M. Seanor. She earned a Normal School Diploma in 1930 from Indiana State Teachers College (now Indiana University of Pennsylvania) to teach elementary education. While in college, she met her future husband, H. Virgil Grumbling. They were married August 12, 1932. Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, church member and community volunteer. Mildred and Virgil moved to Sun City, AZ. in 1970. Mildred was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Sun City, the Aqua Fria Chapter of DAR, the BW Chapter of P.E.O., and the Marinette Chapter of Questers. Mildred is survived by her children, H. Virgil Grumbling Jr. (Frances) and Susan C. Samonsky (Louis), grandchildren Matthew Grumbling (Lynn), Daniel Grumbling (Jennifer), Ruth Grumbling Kester (Donald), Andrew Samonsky and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service in celebration of Mildred’s life will be held February 16, 2013 at 10 AM in the chapel at Sun Valley Lodge.
