Mildred Dorothy DeWolf passed away quietly at her home September 30, 2016. Mildred Dehrer was born April 30, 1923, in St. Paul, MN to Casper J. and Marie J. (Erickson) Dehrer. She grew up on the family farm in Inver Grove Heights, MN. After graduating from high school in Rosemount, MN she worked for various companies as a bookkeeper. She married Marvin L. “Tony” Shay in July of 1952. They lived in various locations in the Midwest and ultimately retired in Brainerd, MN. They had one child, Susan. After Tony’s death in 1981, Millie moved to Minneapolis to be closer to her parents and upon their passing, moved to Sun City. On June 4, 1994, she married Mark DeWolf. Millie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marie Dehrer Lofquist and two brothers Raymond and Elroy Dehrer. She is survived by her husband Mark, her daughter Susan Shay Brugger (Ron), her grandson S. Terry Brugger (Tamara Roust) and two great-granddaughters Cecelia Shay Brugger and Roxanne Shay Brugger. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at All Saints of the Desert Episcopal Church, 9502 W. Hutton Dr., Sun City, AZ. Interment will be at a later date.
