Michael Brittain

Michael Allen Brittain was born on May 16, 1957 in Portland, OR to Robert and Mary Patricia (LeMoureux) Brittain. Michael graduated from Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, OR in 1975. He was an alumnus of the University of Oregon in which he attended 1975-1978. He met his wife Susanne Lynette Schuhmacher in 1982 where they both worked at Standard Insurance Company in Portland, OR. She was a Receptionist and he was a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist. He married Susanne on April 23, 1983 at the Brittain family home in Lake Oswego, OR. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Megan Lynette Brittain in 1990. Michael and Susanne moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1984 where they pursued their career and enjoyed traveling together. They moved to Chandler, AZ in 1995 where they raised their daughter and Michael made a career move to Internet Car Sales. Michael loved sports, rather it be as a spectator or participant. Football, baseball, and golf were his favorites. He was the University of Oregon Duck’s #1 fan and wore the colors proudly till the day of his death. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, reading, solving Sudoku and crossword puzzles, and gardening, especially vegetables! Floating in the pool reading a good book was his ultimate relaxation time! Michael passed away July 22, 2015 as a result of injuries incurred by a pedestrian/car accident in which he was the pedestrian. He was 58 years old. Michael is survived by his wife Susanne Brittain and daughter Megan Lynette Brittain of Chandler, AZ, sister Leslie (Brittain) Savage and brother in law Dexter Savage of Fullerton, CA, sister Patricia (Brittain) Mather, niece Brittainy Mather and nephew Christopher Mather of Molalla, OR. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary Patricia Brittain, brother Robert Andrew Brittain and brother in law Robert Mather. A private celebration of life for Michael Brittain will be on September 12, 2015 in Chandler, AZ.
