Mary MacDonald Camilon

December 31, 1969 — June 7, 2018

Mary Madelyn MacDonald Camilon, Age 71. Born in Newton, Mass. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt & sister who loved life and her extended family. She enjoyed singing in the choir, being active in the church, and being devoted in seeing her family happy and keeping all on an even keel. She dabbled in painting, thought about the ukulele, and even challenged herself doing things outside her comfort zone such as hiking up tall mountains, flying in a hot air balloon, and riding the tallest Ferris wheel in Las Vegas! (She drew the line in the sand for helicopters, zip lines and walking over the glass floor over the Grand Canyon!) She was a dedicated and active member of the Kohl’s Coupon Club! Once you met Mary, you became a friend forever because she never forgot you or something about you! Mary is survived by Manny her husband of 16 well forged years! She was the minimalist while he was the gatherer so her favorite phrase was “What’d you buy now?!” She has three sons: David, Josh, & Allan Coccoluto and three stepsons: Gregory and James Coccoluto and Taylor Camilon. She has six grandchildren: Marcus McCain, Isabella, Ethan & Connor Coccoluto, Alayna and Liam Camilon. She is survived by siblings Ronald and Cynthia MacDonald of SC; Peter and Janice Parsons of AZ; John Angus and Cynthia MacDonald of AZ; Kevin MacDonald of MA and Eugene and Michele MacDonald of MA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews which makes up her extended family! Our family also wants to thank you all for the emails, text messages of support, cards and kind gestures from family and friends from all around the United States! We are amazed at the outpouring of help from our local AZ family and friends for their help in providing housing for guests flying in, rides to and from the airport, and the professionalism of the staff from the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, AZ. We also want to thank Menke Funeral and Cremation Center for their compassionate assistance, our church choir and director for providing the music Mary so dearly loved and family members who participated in her funeral service. Lastly, Mary loved flowers but would appreciate donations made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Arizona Chapter for further research and assistance. There will be a visitation at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center in Sun City (12420 N. 103rd Avenue) on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 3 pm to 6 pm with the rosary at 5 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church (9728 W. Palmeras Dr., Sun City) on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10 am, followed by a luncheon reception in the adjacent hall.
