Berger, Mary Elizabeth nee: Cook Age 73, of Crosslake, MN, passed away on Saturday 1/3/2009 in Sun City AZ. She was preceded in death by son Thomas and brother Jack. She's survived by husband Maurice, children, John, James Janet, Mary Eckman Russell, Edward Sheila, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and brother Richard Karen Cook. She was an active member of Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church and the Sun City Host Lions. She retired from the Minneapolis Public School District as Food Service Manager. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 1/8/2009 at 11:00 am, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, 11025 N. 111th Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hospice of the Valley, West Clinical Office, 9720 W. Peoria Ave, Suite 128, Peoria, AZ 85345 or donor's preference. Menke Funeral & Cremation Center handled arrangements.
