Marvin Hardin passed away June 21, 2018 at age 84 and 10months. He was born in Mattoon, Illinois to Vernon and Elsie Hardin, the youngest of three boys. He quit school when he was 16 to care for his Parents and Younger sister after his father was in a serious accident. He served in the U.S. ARMY during the Korean War where he obtained his high school GED. After he was discharged he went back to school and studied art for several years. He and his wife Irma moved to Phoenix in 1965 for their family's health and he continued his studies at Phoenix College. 'Marv' worked for Airesearch/Honeywell for over 28 years and retired as Plating Supervisor. He and Irma were active in Christian Marriage Encounter for several years. He loved the Lord Jesus and was a member of Faith Bible Church, Bethany Bible Church, Gideons. He also was a member of several art clubs. Marv was a quiet, gentle man who loved the out of doors, camping, hunting, and his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, sons Mark (Renee) and Doug (Darla); daughters Lorraine Fulks (Bill) and Marva Myers-Ray; grandchildren: Travis Hardin (Joanna), Tami Shaw (Joe), Brad Hardin (Drea), Kyle Hardin (Andrea), Chase Hardin, Dallas Myers (Megan) and Kelly Ray (Anthony); step-grandchildren: David Myers and Becky Ledbetter (Matt), 5 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; sister Marci Howard, beloved brother in law Andy Gallagher, sister in laws Carrie Mallovich and Kathy Bryant plus fourteen very special nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held SATURDAY, June 30 at 11:a.m. at Faith Bible Church, 17230 N. 59th Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85308. Visitation will follow 2-5 p.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the building fund of Faith Bible Church.
