Mark Maxwell

Mark S. Maxwell (Max) On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, Mark Maxwell, loving husband, father, and Popop passed away at the age of 63. Mark is survived by his wife Kellee, sons Douglas (wife Sarah; children Austin and Selena), Jacob (wife Amanda; children Archer, Sawyer, and Walker), Matthew (daughter Bria), and his daughter Lauren (husband Brandon; children Paxton, Preston, and Ellie), along with his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins, too many to list, but not forgotten. Mark is also survived by Susan (former spouse) and Christopher Harris, the mother and step-father of his adult children, Douglas and Jacob. Mark enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1976 where he began a distinguished 20 year career. He traveled the world and then retired at Luke AFB and has called Arizona his home for over 30 years. After his career in the Air Force, Mark went on to work for General Dynamics for 21 years and Viasat for just a little over two years. Mark had a passion for all sports. He loved waterskiing, bowling, golfing, shooting pool, and especially, teaching his grandchildren how to jump into the pool while holding his hands. Mark was a wonderful husband, father, Popop and friend. He treated everyone with respect and kindness and was loved by all who knew him. Our loss cannot be measured. A private service will be held at Menke Funeral Home on February 12, 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity supporting our veterans.
