Marjorie Gornall

Marjorie C. Gornall 87, resident of Sun City, Arizona passed away Oct. 22, 2016, in her home. Born in Acton, MA, she moved to Arizona 46 years ago. Marjie attended grade school and high school in Acton, MA. She graduated from Glendale Community College-Accounting Major. Marjorie was employed with Marvin Johnson, Esq. and Mull & Marsh, Hayt & Flynn Law firms of Sun City. Very active in community and service organizations, Marjie was a charter member of Altrusa International-District #11, FIGA Banjo Organization, a former member of the American Society of Women Accountants-Phoenix Chapter #43 and many other organizations too numerous to list. Marjie was married to Geoffrey Stillman Gornall who preceded her in death on July 5, 1988. Marjie is survived by her sisters, Helen Elizabeth Pyrro of Troy, New Hampshire and Sandra Lee Taylor of Acton, MA. Marjorie was fortunate to have in her life Michael Berghofer whom she adored, and her cherished & loving Michelle Ramirez (Oscar). Also, on a daily basis were her loving and endearing, like family members Shelby Bearden (Wayne), Marjie’s caregiver & longtime friend, Connie Harris; the family will be forever indebted to her for her wonderful care. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ with a luncheon reception to follow. She will be laid to rest with Geoffrey at Sunland Memorial Park of Sun City.
