Marilyn Lotts

December 31, 1969 — February 15, 2016

Marilyn Cumi Lotts was born February 17, 1931 in Delphos, Ohio to Ella and Willard Woody. The Lord called her home on February 12, 2016. She was married to Norman L. Lotts on June 18, 1954. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, and three children Norman L. Lotts, Jr (Kim Wylie) of Dayton, Ohio; Robyn Ferro (Mark Ehrichs) of Litchfield Park, AZ; and Bob Lotts (Mary) of Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren: Joseph Lotts, Claire, Michelle and Brian Ferro, Brian Buchman and Mandy Akers. Siblings: Bill Woody, Bennie Lotts, Mary VanTine, Audley Woody, Jack Woody, John Woody, Nancy Cyzick and Linda Kauppila and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and siblings Nell Bentley, David Woody, Guy Woody and Harm Woody. She was a member of Calvary UMC for 34 years. She served her church in many capacities. Her love of the UMW took her to the national level and she served there for many years. Her most pleasure came from belonging to a group at church called the “Crafty Chicks.” These ladies made everything from quilts to bookmarks. She spent many volunteer hours at Boswell Hospital (over 10,000 hours).. She loved a good party! When she got together with her family and friends, no matter which coast, she was the life of the party and had treats for everyone! Her purse was like that of Mary Poppins! If you needed anything, ask Aunt Marilyn! If you were injured she would ask “Do you want a BandAid or a piece of gum?” For any ache or pain, VICKS was the cure all. Marilyn was kind, patient and loved by all who knew her! The viewing will be from 4 to 7 pm at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center in Sun City on Monday, February 15, 2016. The services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 7949 W. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ. Interment will be at 2pm at Resthaven Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave. Phoenix, AZ.
