Marie Cole

Marie E Cole, 93, of Peoria AZ passed away February 19, 2020. She was born August 19, 1926 in Cedar Rapids, IA to James H and Sadie (Carney) Frederick. Marie attended St. Patrick Catholic School in Cedar Rapids, IA and had a long career in banking as an Officer prior to her retirement. She married the love of her life, Howard M. Cole on June 19, 1948 and raised 5 beautiful children in Des Moines, IA prior to retiring in Sun City, AZ in 1979. She enjoyed knitting, crafting, traveling, charity work and spending time with family and friends. Marie was a devoted Catholic and contributed greatly to her church. Survivors include her four daughters, Cynthia (John) Grunert of Peoria AZ, Jennifer (Alain) McGlashon of Scottsdale, AZ, Sharon (Andrew) Smith of Gilbert AZ and Deborah (Terry) Stratton of Austin TX. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 26 great grand children and her sister Frances Schulte of Amana, IA. Marie is proceeded in death by her husband Howard M Cole, her son Gregory M Cole, parents James H and Sadie Frederick and sisters Jean Fetzer, Delores Frederick, Maxine Meeks and Rita Siedschlag. Her funeral mass will be held Saturday, March 7th at 11AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Sun City AZ.
