Margaret Smith

Margie Sullivan Bliss Smith passed away at John C. Lincoln Hospital January 11, 2008. Margie is survived by her husband Dr. Bill Smith, sister Dorothy McLaughlin, daughters Cydney Seivert and Diane Peters; grandchildren Austin and Taylor Seivert, and William, Lauren and Monica Peters. Margie was born in Flagstaff Arizona on September 12, 1937 to Sid and Eleanor Brick Sullivan. She graduated in 1955 from Flagstaff High School. In the summer of 1955 she married Bill Bliss deceased 1977. Margie and Bill settled in Phoenix where they raised their two daughters, Cydney and Diane. In the mid-sixties Margie began her work at Phoenix Memorial Coliseum and later worked for the Phoenix Suns. During those years she was also very active in the women's organization of the Phoenix Jaycees. In 1971 Margie and Bill were the General Partners of a Limited Partnership and created the computerized ticketing company, Select-A-Seat. In 1987 Margie retired from the ticketing business and married Phoenix resident Dr. Bill Smith. Their combined family includes 5 children and 12 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers a donation to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church Chapel, 4455 E. Lincoln Dr., Paradise Valley, AZ 85253.
