Margaret Sacco, 99, passed away on January 10, 2019, four days shy of her 100th birthday, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Born Margaret Giampaolo, January 14, 1919, in Torrington, Connecticut, to James and Elisa (DiLullo) Giampaolo, she married and moved to Pittsfield, MA, in 1948. She worked, for over 25 years and retired in 1984, from Sheaffer Eaton Paper Co. Her and her husband Frank, moved to Sun City, Arizona, in 1986, and enjoyed many years of retirement, with their family and friends. Margaret was the typical Italian mom who loved and lived to cook for her family. Her grandkids grew up never missing a Sunday, big Italian family meal at grandma’s house. Margaret was a gift from God, a sweet special soul, that will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her. Margaret was predeceased, by her loving husband of 67 years, Frank in Nov. 2015, her three sisters, Helen DiLullo (James), Dora Weimann (Robert), Mary Theeb (Maurice), and her brother Charles Giampaolo (Betty), all of Torrington, CT. Margaret is survived by her loving children, daughter Patricia Riley (Rick) of Summerfield, FL., sons Richard (Mary Pat Nesbit) of Scottsdale, AZ, Ronald (Deborah) of Peoria, AZ, three grandchildren, Carrie Williams, Kimberly Sacco, Daniel Sacco, step grandchild Sarah Kanda (Matthew), four great grandchildren, Dale, Mason, Vincent, Hendrix, and many nieces and nephews. Services: She will be cremated and interned at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, with her husband Frank. Menke Funeral & Cremation Center of Sun City, AZ, are handling the arrangements. A private service will be held on Feb. 1, 2019.
