Margaret (Anders) Willis

Margaret Maude (Anders) Willis 69, Peoria Arizona. Margaret lost her courageous battle with cancer on March 23, 2016. She was a lady with a remarkable spirit and an urgent will to live and help others. Margaret gave to all who knew her a positive attitude and love of life. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born May 10, 1946, in Wickenburg, Arizona, to Frances and Houston Anders. She retired after 35 years as Computer Operations Supervisor for the City of Glendale. Her hobbies included traveling, quilting, and sewing. Margaret traveled extensively in Europe and the United States. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Noble Anders, Harold Metzke, and Arthur Metzke. She is survived by her husband, of fifty years, Gary Willis, daughters Kendra Paddock (husband Ernie), Cheryl Topete, grandson Wesley Stephenson (wife Kirsten), granddaughter Kodi Willis, and niece Margaret Metzke. Her extended family includes many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. Her love for friends and family kept her going against insurmountable odds. Services will be held April 9, 2016 at 11:00am at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N 103rd Avenue, Sun City, Arizona 85351. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Cancer Society.
