Louis Loud

December 31, 1969 — February 8, 2011

A beautiful boy named Louis Calvin Loud entered the world to his parents Walter Loud and Grady Loud of Castor, Louisiana on December 30, 1940. Louis was the youngest of 12 children born to this union. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers. Louis accepted Christ at an early age, joining New Friendship Baptist Church in Castor, Louisiana. After completing high school, Louis attended Grambling College for about two years. After college, he moved to Houston, Texas for a period of time before settling in California with wife Gloria Moore who preceded him in death. To this union, three children were born. Louis had a very successful career at Hewlett Packard as a Maintenance Supervisor; his career expanded over 30 years. He took an early retirement in 1998. After his retirement, Louis met Mary; after enjoying each other’s company for 2 years; they were married in 2000. Louis was fun-loving, funny, and always looked for the positive side during any engagement/conversation. One of his favorite things he would say to his wife Mary when he looked in the mirror was “Boy, that’s a good looking guy”! He had such a sense of humor. Louis leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Mary Loud, daughters: Charlotte Smith, Erica Loud and Angela Fairley (Michael); three brothers: Reverend Webster Loudd (Katherine), Walker Loud and Hosea Loud. Step-daughters: Marilyn Johnson (Mark), Chicada Caldwell, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation is 9-11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Interment to follow at Sunland Memorial Park.
