Loretta Anderson

December 31, 1969 — July 17, 2017

Loretta Jean Anderson, 76, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, July 13th after a lengthy illness. The funeral service will be held at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Parish at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd in Sun City. Her final resting place will be the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Loretta was born in Kansas City, Kansas on November 23, 1940. She later moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and was a 1958 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. Loretta lived in Cheyenne until her retirement to Sun City, Arizona in 1991. Loretta married Edward Anderson on April 11, 1976. They successfully blended two families for a very happy 41 years together. Loretta worked as an executive assistant for the State of Wyoming and for the Office of the Adjutant General for the National Guard. Loretta was an avid golfer – one of the lucky ones to have a “hole in one”. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, and most of all being a wife, mother and grandmother. Loretta is survived by her husband, Ed; children: Jacqueline Crader, Mike (Tammy) Crader, Denise Kauffman, Scott Crader, and Mark Crader; Debi (Kevin) Anderson; Buddy (Donna) Anderson, Cindy Anderson (John Lynott); 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; siblings: Chuck (Kay) Schleicher; Evelyn (John) Kemp; Joe (Mary) Schleicher; Frank (Linda) Schleicher; and Cindy Hruby; plus many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Amelia Schleicher, a stepson and 3 granddaughters. Loretta will be missed in many ways, especially for the kindness she shared with others. She was a caregiver to all and put everyone ahead of her. She will forever be remembered as never taking the last cookie from a package, always cheerfully offering it to others. She was our graceful, caring, beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and more. Forever in our hearts. Rest easy and in peace.
