Lonnie W. Loutherback, 79, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2008. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, David & Pernie, brother, Danny E., half-brother, Edward & half-sister, Irene Roberts. He was born on February 23, 1929 in Manitou, Oklahoma. He lived in Oklahoma & Montana during his childhood. He began driving big rigs in the Logging Industry in Montana & moved to Arizona in 1961 after working on the Glen Canyon Dam in Page, AZ. He served 3 years in the Army Corps of Engineers & served 1 year during the Korean War. He received an Honorable Discharge as Sergeant 1st Class. Lonnie was a very hardworking long distance truck driver for over 50 years. He was a meticulous person, loved family & friends, country music, gardening & landscaping his yard. He was married to Margaret K. Murphy in June 1951. Lonnie & Margaret were married for 27 years. To this union 3 children survive him, David C. Betty of Springfield, MO, Janine L. Randall Mike of Phoenix, AZ & Jessica L. Loutherback of Prescott, AZ. He is also survived by Mary M. Pomeroy, a longtime companion, 4 grandchildren, Michael, Sarah, Regina & Matthew & 4 nieces, Sheryl Getman Dan of Kalispell, MT, Sharene Anderer Joe of Lake Marys, FL, Shelly Loutherback Jesse of Kalispell, MT, Sharla Bailey Bob of Lake Oswego, OR & many cousins & friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:00am at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Avenue, Sun City, AZ. He will be greatly missed.
