Linda Marie Drago

Linda Marie Drago, 79, of Peoria, AZ passed away on June 15, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 21, 1944, to parents Frank J. and Nancy M. Cammarata.

She is survived by her sons John Drago, Jr. (Jennifer); Thomas S. Drago (Alexis); and Daniel Drago (Dawn); and her grandchildren John, Justin, Breann, Enrico, Annunziata, and Nicolas. She is also survived by her brother Ben Cammarata (Kathleen) and nieces and nephews Frank (Agnes), Lisa, Gregory (Peg), Christi, and Daniel.

Linda graduated from Lafayette H.S. in Brooklyn N.Y. in 1962. She and her family moved to Arizona in December 1980. Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was proud of her Italian heritage, her Brooklyn roots, and most of all, her family. Strong in her beliefs and will, she was fun, caring, thoughtful, and loyal.

Linda worked as a legal secretary and a paralegal for twenty-five years before her retirement. She loved dancing, singing karaoke, traveling, playing board games with friends and family, and hosting holiday dinners and parties. Linda was a fantastic cook and was well-known for her sauce, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, and Thanksgiving stuffing. She was a great hostess and made everyone feel at home.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be July 5, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. A mass will be held July 6, 2024, at 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 Palmeras Dr., Sun City, AZ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, AZ. 

 In lieu of flowers donations are suggested in Linda’s memory  to one of her favorite charities: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 4343 E.
