Lillian Roduner was born February 17, 1930, in Emery, South Dakota, to Emil and Lydia (Kapsch) Roduner. She attended business college in Mitchell, SD. She married Dale Mabee on August 27, 1949, in the First Congregational Church of Sioux Falls, SD. The Mabees had two daughters, Beth and Sue. After their retirement and several years as snowbirds, Dale and Lillian moved to Sun City full-time in 2003. Lillian worked for most of her career as a secretary. Her hobbies over the years included ceramics, calligraphy, and stamping greeting cards. She was an excellent cook and loved to read. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church of Sioux Falls and later the First Presbyterian Church in Sun City, and served as a Deacon and an officer of Presbyterian Women in both churches. Lillian passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, after a long and painful battle with Parkinson's and memory loss. She is survived by Dale and both her daughters, and by her sisters Lucille Mogck, May Grant, and Kay Williams. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 17, in the Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church of Sun City, 12225 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. A reception will follow in the church's fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Banner Sun Health Research Institute, 10515 W. Santa Fe Drive in Sun City.
