Larry Sandmeyer known to his family and friends as "Lar" passed away unexpectedly Valentine's Day, February 14, 2019, at the age of 70.
Larry was born in Alma, Michigan. He lived in Michigan until 1974, when he moved to Arizona. In 1966, Larry graduated from Otsego High School, in Otsego, Michigan. From 1968 to 1970, he served in the military at Seneca Army Depot. One of Larry's treasured memories was attending Woodstock in 1969. Larry will be remembered for his love of music and his artistic talent.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Joyce and Ronald Sandmeyer and Gerald and lone Grinnell. Also, preceding him in death was his brother John "Jeff" Sandmeyer and his sister, Rhonda Jo Baker.
Larry will sadly be missed by his siblings Jerri Reid (Bill), Randy Sandmeyer (Anna Maria) and Colleen Bodbyl (Dick). He will be forever remembered by his loving companion, Jacque Dallenbach. Six nieces and nephews will remember Larry with fondness.
A memorial will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ, Friday, March 29, 2019 at 1p.m.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Jerri and Bill Reid's home 10132 W. Bolivar Dr. Sun City, AZ.
