Kent Hoffman

Kent Eugene Hoffman, 63 years old, passed away on March 2, 2016, at his home in Glendale, AZ. Kent had an 8 1/2 year battle with stage 4 brain cancer. Kent is preceded in death by his parents, George & Vera Hoffman and by his older brother Norm. He is survived by his younger brother Gery. Kent was born on March 9, 1952, in Glen Ellyn, IL, to George and Vera Hoffman. He graduated from St. Francis HS in 1970. He was drafted into the Army right after HS. He served in Germany for 2 years. After this, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and opened up a business called The Performance Shop, selling performance auto parts. He married Holly Dedmon, March 7, 1981. They have 4 children, Kristi Lynn Mueller, Thomas Eugene Hoffman, Justin Thomas Hoffman, and Luke Kent Hoffman. They have 8 grandchildren Nicole, Zane, Kaylee, Raina, Chase, Aaliya, Brady and Emily. Kent was a construction truck driver for most of his adult years. He enjoyed vacations with his family to Disneyland and riding off road vehicles. He loved fast cars, including his 1969 Corvette coupe. He was hardworking, slow to anger, an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Thursday, March 10, 2016 @ 10:00am.
