Kenneth (Kenny) Udell Heiserman, 89, of Sun City, Arizona, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 at his home. He was born on the family farm, outside of Howard, South Dakota on July 2, 1931, to the late Heber and Lillie (Dinsmore) Heiserman. He married Joyce (Riley) Heiserman on August 2, 1956. They were happily married for 63 years. She preceded him in death on August 14, 2019.
Kenny enlisted in the Army in 1951 and served for three years, which included a deployment to Korea. He met and married Joyce (Riley) Heiserman and they ran their own feed grinding business, in the Howard area for many years. They also owned and operated the local grain elevator. In the early ‘80s he moved to Washington state where he lived for several years before moving to Arizona in 1988.
Kenny was a man of deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. He was always happy to serve as an usher at church. He loved carpentry and woodworking. He was a handyman, always ready with an idea to help fix anything that needed repair or building.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joyce, and two granddaughters. He is survived by his four children, Margie (Gary) Biancini, of Sun City, AZ; Rich (Stacy) Heiserman, of Yakima, WA; Steve (Shay) Heiserman of Wittman, AZ; and George (Andrea) Heiserman of Surprise, AZ. Also, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Gloria (Heiserman) Russell of Bloomfield, NJ and Dianne (Heiserman) Asbury of Lynnwood, WA and many neighbors and friends.
