Kenneth Flemming

Kenneth was born December 27, 1928 on the family farm near Florence, SD to Henry and Gertrude (Maag) Flemming. He passed away peacefully at his home in Peoria, AZ surrounded by family on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ. On November 13, 1950 he married Genevieve Lesnar at Grenville, SD. Together they raised 6 children. He was a South Dakota farmer and worked for Swift and Company meat packing for over 30 years in South Dakota, Arizona and Oklahoma. He retired to Arizona with his wife. A beloved husband and father he enjoyed playing cards, dancing and was an avid gardener who was known for his beautiful yard and garden. He was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve. He is survived by his children, Dennis (Mary) of Florence, SD, Kathleen of Sanders, AZ, Gregory of Peoria, AZ, Lawrence (Sandra) of Cave Creek, AZ, Linda Gilmore (Brent) of Hooker, OK and Keith of Peoria, AZ; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
