Kathryn Lorraine Vause

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathryn Lorraine Vause, who passed away on October 15, 2024, in Lexington, South Carolina.

Kathryn was born September 27, 1962, in Phoenix, Arizona, to loving parents, Roger and Shirley Simpson and grew up surrounded by family and friends who adored her. Kathryn was a devoted wife to her husband of almost 27 years, Michael Vause, and a dedicated mother to her three children, Jennifer (Christopher), Stephanie (Scott), Jonathan (Kimberly), and James. She was a loving and amazing grandmother to grandchildren - Brian, Joseph, Thomas, Kasey, Samantha, Emma, Kora, Ellis, Olive, Cameron, Isabella, Caleb.

She was known for her infectious smile, caring heart, and unwavering support for her family and friends. Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind and generous soul, who brought joy and warmth to everyone she met. Kathryn's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her father, Charles R Simpson and brother James L Simpson. She is survived by her mother (Shirley Simpson), husband (Michael Vause), children, grandchildren, brothers Stephen Simpson (Carol), Robert Simpson (Carol) and many nieces, nephews and a large extended family, who will continue to cherish her memory. Kathryn's legacy of love and kindness will forever remain a guiding light for those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Services will be held at Menke Funeral and Cremation Center, 12420 N 103rd Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351 at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Flowers may be sent to Menke Funeral home.
