Karl Rodney Klossner, age 84, of Sun City AZ, passed away Sunday, Sep. 24, 2017 at his home in Sun City. Karl was born June 23, 1933, in rural Albany, Wisconsin; the son of Karl and Zelma (Reasa) Klossner. He graduated from Albany High School then joined the armed forces where he served in the Korean War during the 1950’s. Upon returning, he moved to Rockford, Illinois where he fathered three children, and two stepchildren with his former spouse, June R. Klossner (Broughton). Karl worked in various mechanical and operating engineer trades, as manager and foreman through his years employed across Wisconsin, Illinois and Arizona. In 1975, he married Margaret Louise Moore in Knoxville, Tennessee. Karl moved to Arizona in 1990 to enjoy the year-round sunshine and retirement community. He was an avid baseball fan and never missed a Diamondbacks game. Karl is survived by three children, Gregory, Michael, and Debra; two stepchildren Joseph and Ruth; his grandchildren; Beth, Derek, and Natalie; many great grandchildren and the rest of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Margaret in 2015; his brothers Kendall and Kenneth, and his son Scott. A private funeral ceremony will be held in the Arizona desert for the family.
