Josephine Kirchberg April 20, 1918 – November 28, 2011 Josephine lived an adventurous life starting on a ship floating on a river in Belgium, growing up in Germany, and immigrating to the United States in the 1950s. Josephine had one son, Robert Fidler, who grew up to be as free-spirited and worldly as his mother. She traveled the world visiting her son and grandkids, Evelyn and Derek, who grew up in five countries from Europe to South East Asia. Josephine will forever be remembered by her loving grandchildren, Evelyn Nichols and Derek Fidler, her treasured niece and nephew Helga and Heinz, her caring daughters-in-law Teresa Fidler and Ju E Wong, and her many devoted friends. Josephine lived in Sun City, AZ for over 40 golden years, soaking up the sun at the pool, dancing and singing with friends, giving advice on how to live healthily forever, and making those she encountered smile and laugh. It was in Sun City that Oma had her happiest years after meeting the “love of her life” Erich Kirchberg and starting many German and singing clubs. She passed away peacefully at the ripe age of 94. Her life was celebrated at an intimate ceremony at Menke’s on December 1st. Memorial contributions can be made any Sun Valley Animal Shelter, because Josephine loved animals.
