On November 14th, 2008, Joseph Leo Gingras gave his mother the greatest birthday gift a son could give. He joined her in eternal peace and joy with their lord and savior Jesus Christ. His wife Barbara, son Tom, and granddaughter Ashlee along with three stepchildren Bill, Charlie, and Alice survive him. Additional survivors included his 5 sisters Paula, Ida, Gloria, Mary, and Betty as well as 3 brothers Ted, Gene and Bill. His brother Mo preceded Joe. Joe was a retired veteran of the United States Air Force and served his country proudly for over 21 years. He generously gave to several veterans' organizations. He was a man that brought many happy memories to everyone who was blessed enough to meet him. To know him was to love him, and you knew you would forever be connected to someone special. He was a man who always put others first, loved his sweets, loved to take care of Gods little creatures especially birds and always wanted to know what was for supper, regardless of the time of day. His love of music is something that will live in all of us forever. He will be truly missed and loved by all, and for those who truly knew him, you know that he'll be sittin patiently waitin on his woman. Memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at St. Joachim & St. Anne Catholic Church, 11625 N. 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ. Menke Funeral & Cremation Center handled arrangements.
