Jon Melvin "Ed" Wood

64, a long time valley resident, passed away May 3, 2012. Born on April 2, 1948, in Pueblo, Colorado. Ed is survived by his mother, Betti Wood; father, Mel Wood; daughters Kimberley Elliott of Tucson, Heather Miller of Prescott, Jessica Barrios of Tonopah; brother, Glenn Wood; sisters Regina Niccum and Krystal Root; 5 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and his companion of many years Karen McMeekin and her family. A lover of sports, Ed was always up for a round of golf and a good bet. He greeted everyone with a smile and always looked on the bright side of life. He loved to spend time with family and will be greatly missed and forever held dear to our hearts. The family will hold a private celebration of his life.
