Jack Wetherbie, 82, of Sun City West died at home on Sunday, January 14, 2018. Jack was born on April 23, 1935, in Schenectady, New York. He attended Boonton High School in Boonton, New Jersey. After high school he joined the Air Force where he was stationed at radar installations in Illinois, Labrador, Texas and West Germany. After leaving the Air Force he was an insurance agent for Prudential in Illinois, Florida and California. He was the Entertainment Coordinator for the Sun City Elks Lodge and also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Sun City Table Tennis Club. He enjoyed dancing, wearing loud ties and playing pinochle and table tennis. Jack is survived by his sister Mary (Tomlinson); son John and his family, wife Michele and grandsons Andrew and Ryan; step-daughter Sonia Baima; step-son David Navarro and numerous cousins. A memorial service is scheduled starting at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018, at the Sun City Elks Lodge, 10760 W. Union Hills Dr., Sun City. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Elks National Foundation.
