April 25, 1923 - November 3, 2014 John Clifford Mull, a resident of Sun City and Sun City West for over 40 years passed away Monday, November 3, 2014, at Park Wood Assisted Living where he resided. John Clifford Mull was born and raised in Ashville, North Carolina. He joined the army and became a paratrooper with the Seventeenth Air Borne under the 139th Battalion during World War II where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After the war he went to Washington, D.C. where he obtained a law degree from George Washington University. He moved from Washington, D.C. to Oregon where he worked as a dance instructor (under the name of “Don Allen”), as well as an attorney. In 1967 he journeyed from Oregon to Arizona where he settled and started the first trust department out of Valley National Bank (now Chase) in Sun City. He went on to own his own law firm in Sun City for 38 years. John Clifford Mull is survived by one brother, Vernon Mull of Greensboro, North Carolina, one daughter, Kimberley S. Herbel of Neskowin, Oregon, six (6) grandchildren and one (1) great grandchild. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, Arizona.
