John Coyne

John Bernard Coyne, 83, of Sun City West, Arizona passed away September 8, 2011. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 25, 1927. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. A retired Police Officer, Village of Franklin Park, he was founder and first President of the Franklin Park Police Patrolment Assn., a retired member of F.O.B. #47 and a lifetime member of D.A.V. #1 of Phoenix, AZ. He is survived by his wife Betty A.; one brother Steven Coyne of Chicago; two sisters Mary Lee of St. Charles IL and Sr. Julie Coyne OB of Dubuque, IA; plus several nieces and nephews. His step-children are Bob Rupp; Toni Zastrow; Mary Panis; Scott Rupp; Jody Harwood; and Patrick Rupp plus many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his step-daughter Debbie Zimbaro, his sister Therese Kempczynski and his first wife Dorothy (Tuttle) Coyne and her children. Memorial services and inurnment will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, AZ 85375. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lord of Life Lutheran Church and Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
