John Burke

John Francis Burke, 92, of Sun City, Arizona passed away October 11, 2017. Mr. Burke was born in Lombard, Illinois. After high school, he entered the Navy college training program at the University of Notre Dame and served in the US Navy during WWII and Korea. He worked in sales in the electrical industry retiring to Sun City in 1994 from Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Marguerite; children Susan Anne (Michael), Laura Lynn (John) and Chris (Sarah). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren Kyle, Katie, Jacob, Thomas, Elizabeth and 2 great-grandchildren Kamden and Declan. John is also survived by his brother: Franciscan Brother Charles P. Burke of Winona, Minnesota. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ. Interment at a later date with full military honors will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
