Jesusa found joy in the simple pleasures that life offered. She cherished long conversations with her daughters, Lydia Killian and Alice Curtis, and delighted in watching good television shows and local sports teams. Cooking was not just a necessity for her; it was an act of love, shared generously with her family as she created meals that brought everyone together at the table. Her evenings often included watching novellas, a cherished pastime that combined her love for storytelling with her vibrant personality.
She was a strong-willed yet sweet woman, known by many for her honesty and hardworking spirit. Jesusa's role as a mother and grandmother brought her immense pride. She cherished her time with her beloved granddaughter Natalie Cons, her grandson Julio Matthew Martinez, and great-granddaughter Delilah Martinez who were the light of her life.
