Jerry Brandeberry Harding passed away on January 25, 2018 while at the Center at Arrowhead Hospital in Glendale, Arizona. Jerry was born on July 18, 1928, In Ligonier, Indiana (Noble County) to his parents, Harry Harding and Katherine Brandeberry (Harding). Jerry attended school in Kendallville, Indiana and at a young age worked for the N.Y. Central Railroad Company. Jerry enlisted in the United States Army at Camp Fannin, Texas in 1945. During his service, Jerry was with the 1641st Engineer Detachment overseas in France and Germany. After being honorably discharged from the Armed Forces on March 29, 1950, Jerry started to learn everything he could about the trucking/transport business. For the next 50 years, Jerry drove trucks and tractor trailers through every city and state in the Continental United States. During his last ten years of driving, Jerry had a successful trucking business delivering for Samsonite. In 1995, Jerry married Mary Jane Gibbs and lived in Lochbuie, Colorado, until they moved to Pioneer, Arizona, to be near Mary Jane’s children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Both Jerry and Mary Jane passed away on January 25, 2018. They will be laid to rest on February 07, 2018, at 9:30 A.M, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. They will be greatly missed by all of us.
