Jerald "Jerry" Howard

84, of Phoenix, AZ passed away Jan. 2, 2013 after a short illness. He was born Aug. 13, 1928 in San Fernando Valley, CA and resided in Arizona for the past 48 years. He was preceded in death in 2007 by his wife of 53 years, Harietta (McCall) Howard. Jerry is survived by his son Chris, daughters Cathy and Cindy, and their families, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Jerry served four years in the Navy in the Korean era, was an active Mason and Shriner, and served many years as a hospice volunteer. He will be greatly missed. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jerry's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
