Jean Newland

Newland, Jean Maxine Born to parents Henry and Myrtle Fletcher on May 30th 1928, in Putnam, IN, died May 11th 2009 at age 80. On Oct. 22, 1950 Jean and Robert Newland were married in Tipton, IN, after a short courtship of just 2 weeks and remained together for 51 years. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1963 to live out the remainder of their years together. Jean will live on through her five children: Sherry, Sandy, Sheila, Denise and Billy; her 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Viewing to be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 at the funeral home followed by burial at 1:30 p.m., at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
