Janet Jongert

Janet A. Jongert of Sun City, a retired school secretary of the Alhambra District, died June 28, 2019. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI and moved to AZ in 1960, She is survived by her husband of 67 years Thomas, children Annjean (William) DeVries of Grand Rapids, MI, Charles (Pam) Jongert of Salt Lake, Utah and Genie Jongert of Phoenix, 10 grand children, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 sisters-in-law Dorothy Ondersma, Mildred (Earnest) Scheltema and Beatrice (William) Boorsma. The funeral will be held Wed. July 3 at 11:00 at West Valley Christian Fellowship. 12649 N. 105th Ave. Sun City. Jan was proceeded in death by her son Michael, grandson Douglas DeVries, parents Andy & Ann Ondersma and siblings Johanna (Rich) Doezema, Roger (Cora) Ondersma and Marv Ondersma. A private interment will be held at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
