James Tradup

James R. Tradup passed away June 5, 2018 after a valiant fight with cancer. Jim was born September 13, 1941 in Faribault, Minnesota. He is preceded in death by his parents Kate & John Tradup, brothers Al and Steve. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years Sue; sons Dan and Mike; sister Carol Welch; grandson Beaudie and granddaughter Avery. Jim’s family moved to Phoenix in 1951 where he went to Cartwright Elementary School then on to West High School. Jim also attended one year at Phoenix College, thereafter joining the Marine Corps. Following his service, he had a 50 year career in the printing business. Jim was very successful and enjoyed his work. Jim retired in 2009 and found out he had a talent for painting and the art of leather tooling. Jim was a member of the Leathercraft Club. After mastering his art, be began teaching. Jim was a gifted artist. He also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his buddies. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel.
