James Anthony McCormack, 77, of Sun City West, Arizona passed peacefully away at home surrounded by his family from a serious illness. Jimmy was born December 20, 1938 in Boston, Massachusetts one of four children. He had fond memories of growing up in Roxbury and Malden MA after his graduation from Malden High School he served in the U.S. Navy upon his return he worked for General Electric for over 30 years from where he retired 1994, and moved to Sun City West with his wife the love of his life Antonia. They would say “this is Paradise until we get to the real one”. His favorite hobby was helping others, and he always enjoyed a trip to the casinos. He was also an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. His fondest memories were of traveling cross country with his wife exploring many of the beautiful states throughout the U.S. He was preceded in death by his father James McCormack, his mother Margaret O’Donnell, also his sisters Helen Cobb and Teresa McCormack. He is survived by his brother Neil McCormack of Malden, MA, his children Lecia Bracaglia and her husband Frank Bracaglia of Stoneham, MA, Daughter Leticia Dutra of Malden, MA, Son Marcos Dutra and his wife Sylvia of Melrose, MA, his nieces Maureen Arsenault, Susan Pezzano and John Pezzano, Debbie Lucey and Robert Lucey. He was the beloved grandfather of Marc Anthony, Stephanie Lourdes, and Tania Ann Dutra, loved by many grand nieces, nephews, two great grand nephews, and by many, many loving dear friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Avenue, Sun City West, AZ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 14818 West Deer Valley Drive, Sun City West, AZ. Interment service to follow at 1:30 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
