James Victor Hrovat, 79, of Sun City, died Monday, May 9, 2016. Jim was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 14, 1936, and moved west in 1959, spending much of the last 57 years in the Phoenix metro area. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cecelia (Pat) Prochaska Hrovat. He is survived by seven children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A lifelong Catholic, he attended St. Stephen Cathedral in Phoenix for many years. Jim worked as an accountant, most recently for Albertson’s; in his retirement, he contributed his time as a volunteer to the City of Peoria and to Banner Boswell Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, May 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Avenue, Sun City. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 15800 N. Del Webb Boulevard, Sun City, with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
