Mr. James Edward Castle II, “Jimmy Castle”, died peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona on February 2, 2018 at the age of 73. James is survived by sisters Sandra (Larry Majors), Vicki , Nancy (Luther Morgan) and Elizabeth, fiancé Lori Parker; children, James III (Gieneveve Castle), Kelly (Craig Grismore) and Christopher (Angela Castle) from his marriage to Patricia Castle and additional children Michael (Mikaela Castle) and LeAna. James was the proud grandfather of 13 wonderful grandchildren: Kylie, Harleigh, Cheyenne, Payton, Gabrielle, Marti, Zoie, Cassandra, Chloe, Alea, Sophia, Kai, and Colette. He is preceded in death by his parents James Edward Castle Sr. and Elna Castle, who even in death continued to be his inspiration. James was born on January 1, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona to James and Elna Castle. He graduated in 1963 from Carl Hayden High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon graduation, he married his high school sweetheart Patsy and started his life on the road working for the Siebrand Brothers Circus Carnival as a ride supervisor. Being in a Circus Carnival family, he ended up learning all facets of the showman industry. After the family show was sold, Jim started his career as a salesperson for the up and coming Manufactured Housing industry, eventually owning and operating his own successful manufactured housing business. Upon his retirement from the housing industry, Jim decided to return to the workforce with his younger son, Christopher Castle. He felt tremendous joy working with Christopher and created lasting relationships among his colleagues. He relished spending time with his fiance Lori and recently purchased their dream home to spend more quality time with their shared extended family. Lori was his best friend and they enjoyed traveling and spoiling their many grandchildren. James’ children and grandchildren will always remember him as a driven and focused father/grandfather who encouraged them to always be true to themselves no matter the cost. Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Menke Funeral Home in Sun City at 11 am (12420 N. 103rd Avenue, Sun City, AZ 85351) All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jim’s life.
