Sun City West resident, Bob Wilson, died Saturday evening November 15 shortly before 6:00 pm. He is survived by Merri, his wife of 62 years; Craig Wilson, a son; Becky Jincks, a daughter; and Robin Clark, a daughter. A daughter-in-law, Lisa Wilson; two son-in-laws, Ken Jincks and Bob Clark. He was known as Pap Pap to seven grandchildren, James Rueck, Jason Rueck, Bonnie Forssell, Bud Clark, Jenny Guzman, Amy Schasteen and Seth Krause and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Bill Wilson of Palm Desert, CA; Tom Wilson of East Liverpool, OH; Gary Wilson, of Minneapolis, MN; and one sister, Connie MacElravy of Warren, OH. Bob, was born in East Palestine, Ohio and attended nearby Wellsville High School as part of the Class of ’46 when the family moved there to a larger home. He played on the school Football, Baseball and Basketball teams and is a WWII veteran having served in the US Army Air Corps on the South Pacific island of Okinawa. He was a member of American Legion Post 94. A long time member of the Sun City West First Baptist Church, serving there as an usher. He also did volunteer work with SCW Prides and The Food Bank in Surprise. He enjoyed playing cards, domino’s and table games with friends and grandchildren. Also, he was well known for his adept Bocce skills with the SCW Recreation Center teams. His last years were happily and comfortably spent at home while living with Alzheimer’s Syndrome and under the care of his wife, Merri. Death came quickly and easily to him when an Abdominal Aortic Aneurism ruptured in his chest and he quietly fell into his eternal rest. Memorial services will be held at SCW First Baptist Church, 17419 N. Conquistador Drive, Sun City West on December 8, 2014, 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SCW First Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
