With heavy hearts we would like to share that Jack A. Walker of Sun City, AZ passed away peacefully on April 1, 2023, at the age of 87.
Jack was born to Victor and Dorothy Walker in Otoe County, Nebraska on November 12, 1935. Jack was the oldest of 4 brothers who grew up enjoying the freedom of the country life of Lincoln, NE.
After 35 years of working at Western Electric in Omaha, NE, he retired and relocated to the Sun City, AZ area with his current wife Bonnie.
Jack was known for his keen sense of humor, wittiness, the love of ice cream, traveling, cheeseburgers & steak, and especially, teeing off. He was the Nebraska Cornhuskers favorite fan where he got really good at commentating. Although he enjoyed watching other sports, football and golf were his favorites.
Jack is preceded in death by an infant sister, his parents, his first wife, Bonnie Ann; his brother Daniel; and a great granddaughter, Aubrey Jean.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Bonnie Jean; his son, Gary (Linda); 2 brothers, Ronald (Margaret) and Terry (Linda); a sister-in-law, Suzie; 8 nieces, 2 nephews, and their 13 children. The surviving family also includes 2 step-daughters, Sandi Thomas-Barnes (Mark) and Kim Bertelsen (Byron); six grandchildren: Amanda, Jessica, Justin, Kersha, Mikayla, and Nicholas; 17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
