Irwin Penrose Wolfinger, 93, of Peoria, AZ passed away June 14, 2009. Mr. Wolfinger was born in Trenton, New Jersey on March 27, 1916 to Irwin P. and Elizabeth Whitehead Wolfinger. He was employed with the Joliet Army Ammunitions Plant, retiring in 1973 as Deputy Director. As a 26 year Sun City resident, Mr. Wolfinger loved bowling at Lakeview Recreation Center. He was a volunteer with the Sun City Library and played golf anywhere he could in Sun City. He was preceded in death by his wife Rowena B. Jones Wolfinger in 2001. Survivors include his daughter Holly Kelley Alan; son Guy Wolfinger Leigh; grandchildren Nathan Kelley, Rachel White and Lauren & Lynn Wolfinger and a special family friend Mary Brickey. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2009 at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center Chapel, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ.
