Herbert Spitler Sr.

87, of Glendale, AZ passed away May 28, 2013. Born in Richfield, CA, he resided in Glendale, AZ for 82 years and was a WWII veteran of the US Navy. An electrician, he was the co-owner of Spitler Electric and a member of the I.B.E.W. He truly loved Arizona and spent many happy times at the cabin that he built in Happy Jack in 1964. Survivors include his daughters Cheryl Isaacs (Joe), Jody Lauer (John) and Suzanne Lanier (Mark); he was preceded in death by sons Dale and Herbert Spitler, Jr. 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survive. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Memorial donations are suggested to the Arizona Humane Society www.azhumane.org
