Helen Marie Boyle, of Sun City, age 97, passed from this life on Thursday, December 9, 2010, after a lengthy illness. Born Helen Donaldson in Tulsa, OK, on March 6, 1913, at age 7 she moved with her mother, Elsie Donaldson, to Arizona where she became a life-long resident. Two sons, Stanley and Wesley, were born to an early marriage. Helen later married a second time to William Boyle and the two became long-time ranchers in the west Glendale area. The couple became residents of Sun City in it’s early days. A member of the Community of Christ Church in Phoenix, Mrs. Boyle was greatly respected as a generous contributor to many charitable causes. She also volunteered at Boswell Hospital, amassing over 3000 hours of donated time over the years. Helen Boyle is mourned by her son, Wesley DeBusk, grandson Robert (Cathy) DeBusk and their children Dylan and Case, by grandson Trent (Wendee) DeBusk and their child Delaney, as well as her former daughter-in-law Faye (Russell) Horne. She will also be sorely missed by many friends and acquaintances. Mrs. Boyle was predeceased by her husband of many years, William Boyle, and by her oldest son, Stanley. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park (south side) at 64th and Northern Avenues in Glendale.
