Hazel Harner-Markve

Our wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and GreatGreat-Grandmother. Hazel "Babe" Harner-Markve , passed away peacefully in Phoenix, AZ on Friday, December 23, 2011 in the comfort of her home at the age of 97. She was born Hazel Maxine Boyd in Beaver Hill, OR on March 31st, 1914 , to Paul and Hazel Boyd, and was the 4th of 6 children. She is survived by her two daughters, Juanita Robinson (Phoenix, AZ) and Norma Pearcy (Ft Worth, TX), and her sister Pauline Swan (Damascus, OR), her 5 grandchildren, and her 5 great- grandchildren and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Norman Harner (married 37 years) and Andrew Markve (married 20 years). She has now joined her heavenly father and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and the Funeral service will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 am both at Menke Funeral & Cremation Center, 12420 N 103rd Ave., Sun City, AZ 85351, with a reception to follow at the family home. Hazel will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in remembrance of Hazel to Sun Valley Hospice, Mesa, AZ.
