Harold Nelson Smith, 79, of Surprise Arizona, died Saturday morning, October 10, 2015 in Surprise, Arizona. He was born September 13, 1936 in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Nelly and Faye Smith. He married Jacqulyn Hall in 1958 and she is survived along with their four boys Scott Smith, Kraig Smith, James Smith, and Jack Smith. He is also survived by their 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In 1987 He married Margaret Ann Smith who preceded him. Survived by her two children Dawn Mich and Al Hennigan along with 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Harold grew up in a small mining town, Copperton, Utah where he attended, and was class President for, Bingham High school. He began his involvement with the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers in 1961 and continued to serve the associates and it’s members for 54 years, receiving the Jeweled Veterans Badge. Harold loved to help people and cook for friends and family. Many Saturdays include the game on TV, Harold working in his yard overlooking the golf course and dinner with family. We will be celebrating his life on Saturday afternoon October 17, 2015 with an open house at his home from 1-4.
